About

I have spent 32 years traveling the world, and it has made me who I am today... a traveler. I love the open road, meeting new people, learning about different cultures and tasting new food! Oh yes SURFING! Feeling the vibe from the ocean, her supreme energy and calming sound, I spent 2 years searching for the best places in the world to surf.
Last year I had a baby, a beautiful little sunshine, my littlebabyexplorer. So now I am going to take her in one hand and my man in the other and off to see the world again...see the world through the eyes of a baby. I have been meaning to start writing a blog about my travels for ages, but not done so before now. I will write about our experiences and also give tried and tested travel tips.
Follow us around the world and see what we see:)

My loving mother Rose, a true inspiration...

When I was a kid I remember listening to my mothers travel stories with great awe. She was my inspiration, my mentor and my life. The first time she traveled abroad was in 1971, at the age of 17. She did something that no one had done in the little village she grew up in, since the great emigration to america in the 1825, she packed her bags and left. Together with a friend they scraped together enough money for flight tickets to Israel. She told me that she had the best summer of her life, working for bed and board picking apples at a kibbutz. This was the first of  her many trips and when she passed away in 2004, she left me with her travel experiences and memories in a box full of pictures.

It would take me another 5 years of living the all so famous rat race, before I knew what I needed to do...

Rose and her best friend. They stayed best friends until she died at the age of 49.

According to my mother: this was the ideal place to sleep close to the redsea.
