The Keys, perfect for families....

Packing in city life, and heading down the US highway 1 we were going to find family holiday paradise. The Florida Keys. What a perfect place to take your children. At Cheeca lodge there were all sorts of activities to keep everyone happy. Windsurfing, kitesurfing, snorkeling, diving, beach, pool,  fishing and basically all sorts of outdoor activities. Surroundings were stunning, food excellent, and the staff was trained to the fingertips.
Having an 8 month old baby limited our activities, but we had an excellent time. Definitely coming back here when the kids are a little bigger....

Hawks Cay was next stop, similar to Cheeca just lacking the little extra. It was a bigger resort maybe that's what made the difference, a great place, they actually occupy the whole island. With bigger kids it must be heaven, they even had a water park with a big pirate ship! You could swim with dolphins or hang out by the man made salt water lake. Toms Harbour restaurant was the best option for eating out, you could watch the fishing boats arrive at the dock whiles enjoying dinner.

Just had to have the famous Key Lime Pie.. mmmmm
